Beach handball – having the right equipment really matters
You’ve probably heard of beach volleyball – perhaps played it yourself on holiday or seen it on television. As the name suggests, beach handball is typically played at the beach. And it is becoming evermore popular. For the sand-based handball game, having the right ball is key. Unlike in normal handball, it is not possible to bounce the ball on the sand. So the rolling behaviour and the right grip are more important than the bounce characteristics. The Hummel "Beach" handball has both. Now all that’s missing are the matching beach handball goals. Why not order these from our online shop at the same time?
Beach handball – how does it work?
Beach handball involves 2 teams of 4 players who compete against each other and play 2 halves, each lasting 10 minutes. The game is played on a sand playing field measuring 27×12 m. The goal area is rectangular, in contrast to the semi-circular version seen in indoor handball. Another difference lies in the way points are awarded: each goal receives a different number of points depending on the type of throw. This makes the game particularly exciting!
Make your outdoor handball match a success and order this ball with excellent grip now – the Hummel "Beach" handball.
