The Sport-Thieme "Junior" football set consists of 6 X-Light size 5 balls weighing 290 g and 6 Light size 5 balls weighing 350 g. A ball storage bag is also included, allowing the balls to be stored away, save space and be easily transported. Both sizes of football, due to their reduced weight, have been specially designed for juniors. For children aged between 7 and 10, playing in under 9s and under 11 teams, footballs weighing 290 g are used. For older children aged 11 and 12, balls weighing 350 g are used. As the balls are the regulation size 5, the children learn how to play using a large football at a particularly early stage. At the same time, the lighter weight makes it easier to play with the balls and to learn techniques.
